DefaultGood at tourneys but bad at cash games?

I've really got a knack for tourneys (both single and multi table) but consistently lose at cash games. I realize that they are quite different, but what kinds of skills could a good tourney player apply to cash games?

LOL, is your name seriously John Doe or have you read Gus Hansen's book? Nvm if you don't know but that was kinda off topic.Anyway. Cash games people tend to be a lot more looser and have some pretty bad holdings waiting to just get lucky on the flop. In cash games you have to find your own ways to get a lot of money in big pots because thats where you usually win all your dough.Lots of times in tourney's people are less likely to be pulling off a huge bluff and more likely to be value betting. Cash games people are a lot looser so you can call people on the river with maybe some mediocre handlings like top pair when you think he might have something better. The main difference I think is that tournaments are much more about trying to survive and make the money. You have to remember in cash games you really have to mix it up and sit deep so you can have the most chance of taking all their money.

basic strategy is only play a few hands and fold most of them...you need to see far more hands in a tournament to finish in the money. play one good hand in a cash game you are up big...get up and walk away...you're in the money
