if you have only played in 4 then practice a little more in those lower stakes. If you can still get the same results then go up a level. Also take a look at chris ferguson's video in the ftp academy on bankroll management if you haven't already. good luck.

Good job so far, but how well you do over a 4 tournament stretch doesn't say much about your ability. I've cashed in 10 tournaments in a row and I've busted out of 10 tournaments in a row, so if you pick and chose where to look, I'm either the best poker player in the world or the worst :PAnyway, let your bankroll determine the stakes you are playing in. Never but into a 2-3 table tournament where you don't have at least 40 buy-ins for the particular stakes. Double that for the 90 player and up tournaments. So, for example, to be properly bankrolled for the $5 18-27 man tournaments, you should have a minimum of $200 in your account.Another approach is to set a base budget, then use your profits over than budget to buy into bigger tournaments. So say you set your base budget at $200 and are playing the $5 tournaments. Once you have $210 in your account, you can then use that $10 to buy into a $10 tournament. If you lose, fine go back to the $5 tournaments until you have $210 again. If you cash, then keep playing at the higher limits.Just make sure to have an adequate bankroll for the games you play with your base budget so that you can weather a bad streak, unless you don't mind depositing again if you bust out.Good luck.

this question is simple... do not base your amount of play on your skill! Base the amount of play on your bankroll!! I have a video based on Football wagering called"Money Management"on my blog... watch it and just switch the football betting to tourneys and you will do well... if you do not understand.. shoot me an email.. its on my blog..http://azcapper.blogspot.com/AZ

You buy in amounts should be determined by your available cash and winnings- not JUST your bank roll. If you have $100 in your account and your winnings from a few tourneys puts you at $109- then bet go ahead and use that extra money you won. Most of the pro players got their start this way. They would play cash or lower stakes games until they had won the extra cash to buy into a higher stake game with a bigger payout.Simple scenario: If you only have $10 and play a $10 game and lose you lost your money. If you WIN $10 and use that to buy into a higher stake game and lose, you lost someone else's money you won.
